PLACES FOR PEOPLE, ORILLIA was founded
in the fall of 2002. Dozens of Simcoe County
residents, including Mayor Ron Stevens and
Community Legal Clinic Executive Director
Terry Hunter, met at a Simcoe County Alliance
to End Homelessness meeting to discuss growing
concerns about housing and homelessness in Orillia.
Their discussion that day was the beginning
of PLACES FOR PEOPLE.
